I had ofloxacin lying at home from before and was about to take it for loose motions but then remembered im pregnant, 12 weeks. Stopped myself. Is this one safe or should i only take what gynac gives? pls share if u know.
I would not take this without a doctors clear go ahead, it is not a casual one in pregnancy. Please call your gynac before anything. They will prescribe what is safe for your case.
This is one of those antibiotics doctors are usually cautious about in pregnancy, so please dont take it on your own. If you have an infection, see your gynac and they will choose a safe alternative. Never self medicate with this.
Honestly this class of antibiotic is generally avoided in pregnancy unless absolutely necessary, and only a doctor can judge that. Dont take it without your gynac saying so. They usually have safer options for pregnancy.
