We have a family wedding next month and it needs a 3hr flight. Im in my second trimester now. Just nervous about the whole flying thing, did any of you travel by air while pregnant? pls share how it went.
It depends on your pregnancy. Mine was a bit risky so my doctor told me to avoid flying. Please ask your gynac first if you have any complication or have had bleeding before, otherwise normally it's fine.
My gynac said flying is generally safe in a normal pregnancy, best between 14 to 28 weeks. She told me to stay hydrated, do ankle movements to avoid clots, and avoid travel if there's placenta issue or high BP. So one quick check with your own doctor and then book.
Yes you can, I flew for work till about 7 months. Just keep moving your legs, drink water, and walk a bit in the aisle so no swelling. After 36 weeks most airlines ask for a fit to fly letter from doctor, so check that.
Second trimester is the best time to fly, mid pregnancy you feel the most comfortable. Avoid long flights very close to your due date. Take a doctor's note if asked and you are good.
Haan yaar totally fine, I actually travelled Mumbai to Delhi at 5 months. Just wear comfy clothes and keep snacks handy. Carry your reports also just in case.
