Feeling thoda weak and dehydrated since 2 days, second trimester. Was thinking of taking ORS but not sure if its fine right now. Will ask my gynac also but wanted to know if anyone took it.
Honestly, you can take ORS, it is very cheap and much better than getting admitted in hospital for dehydration IV fluids. Save those hospital charges for the delivery and baby shopping. Just buy the standard sachets from local pharmacy, they are very affordable.
I remember my pregnancy tracker app had a whole section on hydration, and it highly recommended ORS if you can't keep water down. It helps maintain electrolyte balance perfectly. Just make sure you mix it in clean, filtered water as per instructions.
During my first trimester, I felt so drained and nauseous all the time that water wouldn't stay down. My doctor told me to drink ORS and it literally saved me. I felt human again after having it, so definitely go for it.
Actually ORS is fine, but I mostly preferred homemade nimbu paani with a pinch of salt and sugar, or fresh coconut water. It is much more natural and works wonders. But if you have heavy vomiting or feel dizzy, please talk to your doctor immediately.
Oh dear, I totally understand how exhausting it gets when you feel so dehydrated and weak. Yes, you can surely have ORS, it will give you some energy back. Take care of yourself and your sweet little baby, sending love.
