I have a lot of ovulation strips left from when we were trying, and im 5 days late now. Thoda curious if these can show pregnancy too or do i really need a separate test? Pls share if anyone tried this.
I totally understand that urge to check early, the waiting period is so stressful. But honestly, ovulation tests detect LH hormone, not the pregnancy one. Better to wait for your period date and do a proper home pregnancy test, it will save u so much anxiety.

Actually I tried this last year when we were trying. The ovulation strip showed a super dark line, but my gynac said it's not reliable for pregnancy. I did a normal UPT next day and got my positive! Better use a pregnancy kit directly.
Beta, don't rely on these modern strips for everything. The best way is to wait patiently till your period date is missed. Drink warm milk, stay calm, and then do the proper pregnancy test when the time is right.
Actually no yaar, both tests look for totally different hormones in the urine. Ovulation strip is for LH and pregnancy test is for hCG. Just get a standard test kit from the chemist, it’s much better.
It's not reliable at all, better to stick to standard pregnancy kits. Just like how I had to strictly monitor my sugar levels with a proper glucometer and not guess, you need the right tools for this too. Keep your diet healthy and wait for the correct test day!
Haha no way yaar, ovulation strips are for finding egg release, not pregnancy. With twins, I had to be double sure so I used actual pregnancy test kits. Don't waste those expensive strips for this!
