I heard some women mention oxytocin injections during labour and now im a little anxious about it. Im due next month. Is it safe for the baby or does it cause any problems? will defintely ask my gynac too but wanted to hear real experiences.
Honestly this is given carefully in a hospital setting with monitoring, so the doctors control the dose. It's not something u should worry about at home. If u have a doubt about ur labour plan, just ask ur gynac directly.
This is purely a doctor decided thing, oxytocin is given under monitoring in hospital, not something to use on ur own. In my case they used it during labour with close watching. Please never take or ask for such injections without ur gynac, it's serious.
