Can pap smear be done during pregnancy?

My pap smear was actually due before i got pregnant but i kept delaying it. Now im 3 months along and not sure if its safe to get it done now or wait till after delivery. Anyone had this?

It can be done, but whether you need one now is for your doctor to decide based on your history. Honestly just go with what your gynac recommends. Dont skip it out of fear, its routine.

Yes, my gynac said a pap smear can be safely done during pregnancy if needed, often at the first visit. It doesnt harm the baby. She told me a little spotting after can happen and is usually fine.
