Can perimenopause cause a false positive pregnancy test?
Im in my late 40s and my cycles have been all over the place lately. Took a test out of doubt and it showed faint positive, but im honestly not sure if its real or because of the changes happening. Has anyone experienced this?
My doc said hormonal shifts in perimenopause can rarely cause confusing results, but a true false positive on a good kit is uncommon. If you get a positive, a blood test will clear up the doubt. Best to just confirm with the gynac rather than guess.
My cousin had this exact confusion at that age. The kit was muddling her so she just did a blood test and it sorted everything out. Dont stress over the strip, the blood test gives the real answer.
Honestly at that stage the cycles get irregular and it is easy to misread. Just go for a proper test with your gynac na, dont depend on the home strip alone.
