At my 20 week scan they said placenta is a bit low and to recheck later. Im honestly tensed about it the whole week. Has anyone's position moved up on its own by the next scan?
Try not to worry, many low placentas shift up as months pass. The doctors keep an eye on it with scans. Just go for your follow ups and let them track it, it usually sorts itself out.
My scan said low lying placenta and I have been so anxious since. Reading that it can move up makes me feel much better. Did it move up for the rest of you too?
Happened to me, low at the mid scan then perfectly fine later. The doctor wasnt alarmed at all. They only get concerned if it stays low in the third trimester, so just keep your appointments.
Yes my doctor explained that a low placenta early on often moves up as the uterus grows, it is called migration. Mine was low at 20 weeks and by the next scan it had moved up nicely. She said not to worry unless it stays low near term.
