My latest blood report showed platelets on the lower side and im 28 weeks now. Doc said we'll watch it but didnt explain much. Is this a common thing in pregnancy? thoda tension ho raha hai.
Mine went low in third trimester and they monitored me closely. It can be fine but it can also need attention, so please don't ignore the reports. Keep showing your blood test to your doctor regularly.
Yes it is fairly common dear, hormones and blood volume changes play a role. The main thing is regular CBC tests so doctor can track it. If yours is only mildly low, usually they just keep watching.

Yes my gynac said mild drop in platelets is quite common in pregnancy and often nothing to worry. But she watches it through routine blood tests every trimester. If it drops a lot then they look into it more carefully.
I had thyroid so I was used to regular tests anyway. They also kept an eye on my platelets along with it. Honestly regular follow up is the key, that way doctor catches any change early.
