My doctor mentioned a tb skin test at my last visit and i forgot to ask if its okay now that im expecting. 14 weeks along. Bit confused whether to get it done or wait, did anyone get this during pregnancy?
From what I understand it is generally not contraindicated in pregnancy, but it should only be done when your doctor advises it. Dont go by general info for something like this. Let your gynac or physician decide based on your case.
The PPD or TB skin test is actually considered fine to do in pregnancy if it is needed, from what I have seen. But this is really a decision for your doctor based on why you need it. Just ask them directly, they will guide you clearly.
