We got close while i was still on my period and now im overthinking everything. I always assumed periods mean no chance but now im not sure. Is there any risk in this situation?
My doctor explained the chance during actual periods is low, but cycles vary and sperm can survive a few days, so early ovulation makes it possible. So it's not a guaranteed safe time. If avoiding pregnancy, dont rely on cycle timing alone, use protection.
With my irregular cycles I learned timing is never reliable. I wouldnt assume any day is fully safe honestly. Best to use protection and ask your gynac if unsure.
