Can pregnancy be caused on 5th day after menstruation?
Thoda confused about the safe days thing. We were close on the 5th day right after my period ended and now Im wondering if there's any chance. My cycle is fairly regular. Can someone explain pls?
It is biologically possible if you have an irregular or short cycle. If you are worried about an unplanned pregnancy, please consult your doctor for reliable emergency contraceptive options.
While the chances are generally low, it depends completely on your ovulation cycle. If your periods are irregular, you can't rely on 'safe days' at all.
I always thought the 5th day was completely safe, but now I am hearing different things. Did anyone actually conceive during or right after their period?
According to ovulation trackers, if you have a 21-day cycle, you might ovulate around day 7 or 8. Since sperm can survive up to 5 days, intercourse on day 5 can definitely lead to pregnancy.
If you have a very short menstrual cycle, it is technically possible because sperm can live inside for up to 5 days. I always used tracking apps and kept my routine regular with doctor-approved walks.
It's always better to use protection than to spend money on emergency contraceptive pills or stressful tests later. Yes, there is a small chance if your cycle is short.
