This is kind of a random question that popped in my head. My cousin claimed she grew a little taller after her pregnancy and i found it hard to believe. Is there any truth to this or just a myth?
I asked something similar and my doctor said adult height doesnt increase from pregnancy. She mentioned some women notice their feet get slightly bigger and posture changes due to hormones loosening ligaments, and a little height can even feel lost later from posture. But genuine height growth, that doesnt happen in adults.
Haha if pregnancy added height I would have signed up for the extra inches with my second one! Sadly no, it only adds to the belly and the shoe size sometimes. Your height stays the same, dont worry.
Oh I wondered this too because my shoes started feeling tight! Someone told me thats the feet spreading a little, not height. So our height stays same, just the body changes shape in other ways during these months.
No, pregnancy doesnt make you taller. Your growth plates close after a certain age so adult height doesnt change. What can happen is posture changes and the spine and ribcage shifting a bit, which might make you feel different, but actual height increase no.
