Lately when i wake up my arms and fingers feel numb and tingly, mostly in the mornings. Im in my third trimester now. Is this a normal pregnancy thing or should i mention it to my gynac? bit worried.
oh I have been getting tingling in my fingers at night too and got worried! good to know its common. I am still going to mention it at my next checkup though. anyone else get this only while sleeping?
My doctor said this is often carpal tunnel kind of thing in pregnancy because of fluid retention. I would wake up with numb hands. She gave me a wrist support and it improved. Do tell your gynac so she can check.
Yes it can, the swelling in pregnancy can press on nerves and cause tingling or numbness in hands and arms, especially while sleeping. It usually goes after delivery. But mention it to your doctor at your next visit to be safe.
It can be from normal swelling, but I would still get it checked, especially if its with bad headaches, swelling in face or blurry vision, because those together can mean BP issues. Please mention it to your doctor soon.
