For the past week i keep getting this tingling numb feeling in my fingers, mostly when i wake up. Im 7 months along now. Is this just a pregnancy thing or should i be worried? anyone experienced the same na?
It can be a normal pregnancy thing, but I'd still tell your doctor. In some cases numbness with high BP symptoms needs checking. Better to flag it and let them confirm it's the harmless kind.
Yes it can, swelling in pregnancy sometimes presses nerves and causes tingling or numbness, often in the hands (carpal tunnel type thing). It usually settles after delivery. But do mention it to your gynac at your next visit just to be sure.
I felt this in my third trimester, my fingers would go numb especially at night and it scared me. Doctor said it was due to fluid retention and it went away after baby came. So you're not alone, it freaked me out too.
Haan mere saath bhi hua tha, haath sun ho jaate the raat ko. Doctor ne bola swelling ki wajah se hota hai na. Mention kar dena apne gynac ko, par itna common hai.
My doctor explained that water retention can compress nerves at the wrist, causing numbness, very common in pregnancy. She suggested not sleeping on the hand and shaking it out. But she also said if numbness comes with bad headache, vision issues or sudden swelling, call immediately as that's different.
