in my last scan the doc mentioned my egg size was on the smaller side and we are trying since few months. now im worried na is conceiving even possible like this? anyone went through same, pls share.
We are trying too and I read similar things, got a bit worried. My gynac said size changes every cycle so dont judge from one report. She put me on monitoring, maybe ask yours also.
I have PCOS and my eggs were on smaller side too but I still conceived with proper follicular monitoring. Egg size matters for quality but its not a full no. Talk to your gynac about tracking your follicles, that really helped me.
My doctor told me a follicle needs to mature enough before ovulation for conception to happen well. Small egg can mean it hasnt matured yet, not that you cant conceive. Follicular study scans will tell you the exact picture, worth doing.
Dont stress over one small reading. Egg size varies and a good gynac can guide growth if needed. Just get proper checkup and you'll know whats actually going on.
During my treatment they explained egg has to reach a mature size to release properly, usually around 18-20mm. If yours is small the doctor may help it grow with monitoring. Please dont lose hope, ask your doc what they suggest for your case.
