Heard somewhere that pregnancy can actually fix some health issues, like periods become regular or some old problems go away after. Is there any truth to this or just a myth? just curious tbh, found it interesting.
Interesting question. I felt like pregnancy changed my body in big ways but I wouldnt call it healing exactly, more like it reset some things. My periods became more regular after, surprisingly. Everyones experience is so different though.
I think pregnancy makes you more aware of your body and many women start taking better care of themselves, eating well, resting, which itself helps. In that sense it can feel healing. Stay positive and look after yourself well.
There are some real changes pregnancy brings, hormonal and otherwise, and a few conditions can shift. But it is not a reliable treatment for anything. If you are asking with a specific issue in mind, best to discuss that with your doctor honestly.
Some women feel better in certain ways, some feel worse, it really varies. It also puts a lot of demand on the body. I wouldnt rely on it to heal anything specific. If you have a health concern, treat that properly with a doctor, dont wait on pregnancy to fix it.
I had heard pregnancy can sometimes help with things like irregular cycles, and for me my PCOS symptoms eased a little for a while after. But its not a cure or guaranteed, please dont go into pregnancy expecting it to heal a condition. Keep up your regular doctor checks.
