This summer has been brutal and i got a bad heat rash on my neck and chest. It itches a lot. Im 24 weeks, just wondering if all this heat n rash can affect the baby in any way? Bit worried.
Heat rash is on your skin, it doesnt reach or harm the baby. Its just uncomfortable for you. Wear loose cotton, stay cool. But if it spreads a lot or has fever with it, then show your doctor.
Just delivered last month and I had heat rash through the last weeks, baby came out perfectly healthy. It only bothers you, not the baby. Loose clothes and staying in cool air helped me most.
Dont worry, heat rash wont touch the baby. I had it badly in summer pregnancy, just kept skin dry and wore cotton. My mom suggested cool baths. If it itches too much ask doctor for something safe.
