I never had breathing issues earlier but since the last few weeks i feel kind of wheezy and short of breath sometimes. Im in my second trimester. Just wondering if pregnancy can suddenly bring on asthma like this, anyone experienced similar?
Some women do notice breathing changes in pregnancy, it is fairly common to feel short of breath. But whether it is actual asthma only your gynac or a physician can say. Get it checked rather than worrying.
Breathing issues during pregnancy should always be checked properly. Hormones and the growing belly can affect breathing, but asthma specifically needs a doctor to confirm. Please dont self diagnose, get it looked at.
Pregnancy can change how some women breathe and existing asthma can shift too, sometimes better sometimes worse. But a new wheeze or breathlessness should be examined by your doc, not assumed. Keep your inhaler talk strictly with them.
