Just found out im pregnant, around 7 weeks. My job is a normal desk one but the nausea and tiredness is bohot zyada these days. Worried if continuing work na will affect anything. Working mommies pls share how u managed.
Look, pregnancy is not a disease, so of course you can work! But don't try to be a superwoman and exhaust yourself. If you have a desk job, keep sitting and doing your work, but eat on time and keep water bottle next to you. If there is any heavy traveling or stress, talk to your boss or take few days off, simple.
With my PCOS background, my first trimester was super scary and I was constantly on edge. I did continue working my desk job, but I made sure to take plenty of breaks and not stress myself out. Just listen to your body and don't do any heavy lifting or strenuous physical labor. If u feel any sudden cramping or spotting, please stop working immediately and call your gynac.
Oh sweetie, the first trimester is so incredibly exhausting with all that nausea and hormonal changes. I remember crying at my office desk because I felt so drained, but somehow I made it through. It is absolutely okay to work, but please put yourself and your baby first. If you feel like your body is screaming for rest, just take a sick leave without feeling any guilt.
My pregnancy tracker app showed that normal daily activities and desk jobs are totally fine in the first trimester. The main thing is to avoid long standing hours and manage fatigue. I used to set an alarm on my phone to stand up and stretch every 45 minutes. Just track your energy levels, and if you ever feel severe dizziness or pain, that's your cue to log off and rest.
I am currently planning my pregnancy and honestly, I keep wondering about this too! My job involves a lot of sitting in front of a laptop, so I'm hoping it's fine. I've read that unless your doctor advises bed rest, normal office work is totally okay. How are you managing the morning sickness at work right now?
