My baby is 4 months old and im still feeding her fully. Havent got my periods back yet so I assumed it cant happen, but my mom said dont be so sure. Now im a little worried, anyone been through this?
I am exclusively feeding right now and my periods havent returned, but my doctor clearly warned me that I can still ovulate without warning. So dont assume you are safe just because no periods yet. Better to take precaution.
Yes it absolutely can. Breastfeeding lowers chances for a while but it is not a reliable birth control. My second was a happy surprise while still feeding the first. If you want to space them, use proper protection.
