Honestly, my PCOS didn't go anywhere, it just took a break while I was pregnant. Now I have a baby who doesn't sleep AND my irregular periods are back, haha!
I wish it cured it! I'm in my third trimester and still dealing with all the hormonal fun. Let's see what happens postpartum, but don't count on it as a permanent cure.
It's a myth that pregnancy cures PCOS. It might temporarily manage some symptoms postpartum, but it's best to continue lifestyle management under your doctor's guidance.
According to what my doctor explained, pregnancy doesn't cure or reverse PCOS. It only temporarily changes your hormone levels, but the underlying condition remains.
It is so hard managing PCOS while trying to conceive, I completely feel you. My periods actually became regular for a few months after delivery, but the symptoms slowly returned.
I also hoped pregnancy would magically fix my PCOS! My periods were regular for about six months after my toddler was born, but then they went back to their usual self.
I've seen many moms ask this. While some see their cycles improve after having a baby, for many others, PCOS symptoms return once breastfeeding stops. Keep a healthy lifestyle regardless.
