My period is 6 days late and i have all the feelings, sore breasts and tiredness, but the test showed only one line. Im confused na, can the kit miss it sometimes or am i just overthinking?
Definitely, testing too soon is the most common reason for a false negative. Use first morning urine and wait till after the missed period. If period doesnt come, test again or just get a blood test, thats reliable.
Yes, my gynac said if you test too early the hCG may be too low to show, giving a false negative. Diluted urine or expired kits can also cause it. She said if period is still missed but test is negative, retest after a few days or do a blood test.
This happened to me, negative test but no period, I was so confused and anxious. Turned out I tested too early. Dont spiral like I did, just wait a few days and retest with morning urine.
