Reading a lot about gut health lately and someone mentioned probiotics can help fertility. We are ttc for almost a year now so im willing to try small things. Anyone actually felt it helped them?
Honestly I dont want to overpromise. With my PCOS gut health did seem to matter a little and I had curd, but probiotics are not a magic conceiving pill. I would say ask your doctor before starting any supplement.
Theres some research that gut and vaginal flora can play a role in fertility, but its not proven that taking probiotics directly helps you conceive. If you want to add one, just run it by your gynac first.
Probiotics mainly help digestion and gut, theres no solid promise they make you conceive. Good gut health doesnt hurt though. Focus on timing, folic acid and a healthy diet, thats what counts.
At home everyone tells me curd and buttermilk are good for the body and I do believe in that. But for actually conceiving, I trusted my doctor and the proper diet plan she gave. Probiotics are just a small healthy add on.
