Can progesterone cause spotting in early pregnancy?
Im 6 weeks and on progesterone support after my doc prescribed it. Today i noticed some light brown spotting and got really scared, my heart sank. I plan to call my gynac in the morning but couldnt sleep so asking, did the medicine cause this for anyone?
I was on progesterone support after my treatment and had some light spotting, my doctor said it can happen with the meds. It scared me a lot honestly but she reassured me after checking. If u see spotting, do tell ur doctor, dont carry the worry alone.
My gynac explained progesterone is given to support early pregnancy and minor spotting can sometimes occur. But she said never assume the cause yourself, always report bleeding so they can rule out other things. Mine turned out fine after a quick scan.
Spotting in early pregnancy always made me call my gynac, even if it might be the medicine. Better to get it checked once than assume. Please dont ignore any bleeding, just ring ur doctor and let them decide.
