Doc had given me provera tablets for my irregular periods and now my home test is showing two lines. Im so confused na, is it the medicine showing this or am i actually pregnant? Anyone been through this?
Provera is a progesterone type medicine, it doesn't have hcg, so it shouldn't make a test positive. A positive line means hcg is present. If you're confused about results while on it, best to ask your prescribing doctor.
From what I know it doesn't cause a positive result, since the test detects pregnancy hormone not provera. But meds and cycles get confusing, so a doctor confirmation is always safest. Maybe a blood test will clear your doubt.
I took provera for my irregular periods before and it never gave me a false positive. It can mess with your cycle timing though, which confuses people. Don't self conclude, let your gynac interpret it na.
