Doc has asked me to come for a scan and im around 8 weeks now. Bit nervous as its my first time and i really want to know if the heartbeat will show by now. Anyone had their scan at this week, what did u see?
Yes, at 8 weeks a transvaginal (pv) scan shows the pregnancy clearly, and usually u can even see the heartbeat by then. My doc did mine around 7-8 weeks and we heard the heartbeat, such a relief. It gives a better view than tummy scan this early.
In my journey they did pv scans early and at 8 weeks it showed everything nicely, including the heartbeat. I know the wait for that scan is so nerve wracking. Whatever ur doctor advises, the internal scan does give a clear picture this early.
I had my pv scan at 8 weeks and I felt my heart stop when I saw that tiny flicker of heartbeat. So yes it absolutely detects it. The internal scan is clearer at this stage they told me.
