Can quadruple marker test done at 21 weeks of pregnancy?
Im 21 weeks now and somehow this test got missed earlier, dont know how. Is it too late or can it still be done at this point? My gynac visit is next week, just wanted to know what others did.
Usually they do it between 15 to 20 weeks. 21 is bit on the edge but some labs still accept it. Just ask your gynac, she will tell exactly based on your reports.
My sister got hers slightly late also and it was fine, doctor adjusted as per scan. Dont panic about the week, just go and let your doctor guide you properly.
My doc said the ideal window is 16 to 18 weeks for the quad marker, but it can technically be done till 20-21. After that results may not be as reliable. She told me to never delay it next time. Better to confirm with your own doctor about timing.
I was also confused abt this. I got mine done at 19 weeks and the lab person said dont go beyond 20 ideally. Did anyone here get it done later than that?
Honestly the window varies a little lab to lab. 21 weeks might still work but your gynac is the right person to decide if its useful at this point. Pls dont skip asking her.
