Everyone in the family keeps telling me to have kesar milk for a fair baby and all that. Im in second trimester now. I just want to know if its actually safe to take daily, not bothered about the fairness thing honestly.
Beta in our families a few strands of kesar in warm milk is a sweet old tradition, said to keep mood good. A pinch is fine, but the key word is pinch, not spoonfuls. Too much saffron is not advised. And do mention it to your doctor once.
I asked my gynac the famous kesar doodh question. She said a tiny amount, few strands, occasionally is generally okay, but large quantities are not recommended in pregnancy. So enjoy the little ritual but dont overdo it thinking more is better.
My MIL insisted on kesar milk daily for fair baby and all that, which is just a myth honestly. I took just a couple strands sometimes, kept it minimal. Saas log mean well but i checked the amount with my doctor too.
A small pinch of saffron in milk is something elders love giving, and a little is fine. Just dont take it in big amounts. I trusted my doctor on the quantity rather than the more-is-better advice from relatives.
