My period is just a few days late and test came faintly positive yesterday. Im so eager to confirm everything that i was wondering if a scan this early would even show anything. Anyone went for a scan this soon?
At 2 weeks there is usually nothing to see on a scan yet, it is just too early. My doctor said the sac and heartbeat show up closer to 5 to 6 weeks. A blood test catches it much earlier than a scan.
I went too early hoping to see something and the doctor just sent me back to wait, felt silly. They told me to come around 6 weeks. Did others also rush the first scan only to wait again?
No, an ultrasound that early shows nothing useful. Wait a few weeks and then the early scan will show the sac. For now a urine or blood test is your answer, not a scan.
