My test came positive 2 days back and im super early, maybe 5 weeks. Im wondering if going for a scan now will even show anything or if i should wait some more before booking one. dont want to go too soon and see nothing.
I rushed for a scan the day after my test and there was nothing to see, I felt so scared. Doc calmly told me come back in 2 weeks, and then we saw the heartbeat. Wish someone had told me to wait.
My gynac said the sac shows around 5 weeks and the heartbeat usually by 6 to 7 weeks on the early scan. Too early and it's just too tiny to confirm. She said the blood test is more reliable in the very first days.
Yes but usually a transvaginal scan around 5 to 6 weeks, before that even scan cant show much. Thats why doc waits a bit after the positive test. Going too early just shows an empty sac and worries you for no reason.
I get the urge to scan immediately, I was the same. But going super early just gives unclear results and more panic. Trust the timing your doctor gives, it saved my nerves second time.
