We are trying to conceive since few months and someone told me til seeds are good. But I heard during early pregnancy they should be avoided so now im confused about the conceiving phase. Can we have them raw while trying?
While trying to conceive, normal amounts of any food including til is fine. The whole avoid sesame thing is more talked about in early pregnancy and even that is debated. When you're just trying, eat normal and balanced, dont stress over one seed.
In regular food quantity it's okay. There's no real proof it helps conceiving though. If you have any specific condition, just run your diet past your doctor instead of relying on internet food tips.
When we were trying I read so many food things online and got confused too. A small amount of sesame in cooking is harmless. But honestly no seed will guarantee conception, I learned that the hard way. Focus on overall good diet and timing, and talk to a fertility doc if it's taking long.
Beta, til (sesame) is fine in normal food amounts even while trying. We use it in laddoos and chutney always. While conceiving a little is okay, but don't go eating big handfuls thinking it helps, it doesnt magically work like that.
