Can severe cough in first week of pregnancy cause misscariage?
I just found out im pregnant, very very early, and ive been coughing so badly that my whole pet hurts after each fit. Honestly thoda scared hu now. Planning to call my gynac but wanted to hear if anyone went through this.
Oh, I had a bad cough in my early weeks too and felt so anxious! I am in my second trimester now and everything is perfectly fine. Did anyone else here also get a bad cough and feel worried about the pressure on the stomach?
I had a terrible, chest-rattling cough in my first week and was terrified it would shake the baby loose, but my doctor laughed and said the baby is very secure. My baby is a toddler now and absolutely fine! Don't worry, coughing won't cause a miscarriage.
Agreeing with others, a normal cough doesn't cause miscarriage because the baby is deeply protected inside. Just drink warm water to soothe your throat.
Coughing physically cannot cause a miscarriage because the baby is extremely well-cushioned in the uterus. However, severe cough can exhaust you, so just check with your doctor for pregnancy-safe cough syrups or remedies.
Listen, don't stress too much about this. Your little one is nestled very safely inside, and coughing doesn't affect them. Just take some steam and rest up, you will be fine.
Haha, if coughing caused miscarriages, our population would be half! The baby is locked in a vault in there. I coughed, sneezed, and vomited my way through pregnancy and my baby is currently keeping me awake at 3 AM.
I am in my first trimester right now and dealing with a mild cold, so I completely relate to your worry! It's so scary when you cough and feel that pull in your lower stomach. Did your doctor suggest any safe home remedies?
No, not at all! The baby is very safe and cushioned inside the womb 🌸. A cough cannot cause a miscarriage, but do have some warm ginger-honey water to feel better!
Actually, I also had a super bad cough in my first month, yaar. I was so scared, but my gynac told me the baby is totally safe. Just try taking steam and avoid taking random medicines without asking your doctor.
