just found out im pregnant, maybe 6 weeks. me and my husband are now scared whether being intimate can harm anything this early. is it safe or should we wait? would love to hear from others who were nervous about same.
For most low risk pregnancies it's fine and doesnt affect the baby. The exceptions are things like bleeding, placenta issues or history of preterm, where doctors advise caution. So if everything's normal you're okay, but a quick word with your gynac settles any doubt.
It depends on your specific case honestly. I was told to avoid it early on because of some spotting and a low lying placenta. If your pregnancy is straightforward it's usually fine, but please check with your own doctor since every situation differs.
Dont stress too much, in a healthy pregnancy it's safe and wont hurt the baby. Just listen to your body and if anything feels off or you start spotting, pause and ask your doc. Otherwise you're good.
I was nervous about this exact thing early on. My gynac reassured me it's fine since mine was a normal pregnancy. Did others also feel anxious about it at first? The doctor's okay really put my mind at ease.
In a normal healthy pregnancy sex is generally safe, it doesnt harm the baby who's well protected. I continued normally both times. But if you have spotting, pain or a high risk pregnancy, ask your gynac first before assuming.
