Bit awkward to ask but here goes. Im in 2nd trimester and both of us are thoda nervous about being intimate, my hubby keeps worrying it'll harm the baccha somehow. Is this a real thing or just tension in our head?
The baby is safely packed in a fluid bag and the cervix is sealed, they have no idea what's happening outside! With my twins, we were too tired anyway, but physically it's perfectly safe unless your doctor has advised bed rest.
I totally understand having these fears, we worry so much about our little angels. But don't worry, they are very safe and warm inside, just talk to your doctor to put your mind completely at ease.
It won't hurt the baby, but make sure you are comfortable and don't feel any pain. If you ever feel severe cramps or see any spotting, stop immediately and contact your gynac.
Ghar pe elders always say to avoid it, but medically it doesn't hurt the baby at all. Just check with your gynac once to make sure there are no complications like a low-lying placenta.
Personally, my husband and I were active and had no issues at all. But everyone's body is different, so honestly, just do what feels comfortable for you and keep your doc in loop.
Physically, the baby is highly protected by the amniotic sac and thick mucus plug. Unless you have specific issues like bleeding or low placenta, it is completely fine, but always confirm with your doctor first.
