Bit shy to ask but me and my husband are confused about this. Im in my second trimester and feeling fine, no complications so far. Is it actually safe to be intimate during pregnancy or should we avoid completely?
In my case my doctor advised against it because I had a sensitive pregnancy. So it really depends on your situation. Please ask your gynac before, dont assume.
For a normal healthy pregnancy intimacy is generally safe, the baby is well protected. But if you have any bleeding, pain or a high risk pregnancy, you should hold off and ask your gynac. Best to confirm with your own doctor based on your case.
Its usually fine in a normal pregnancy, we were told the same both times. Just be gentle and comfortable. If theres ever bleeding or cramping after, stop and check with your doctor.
