Can sleeping with legs elevated during pregnancy stop miscarriage?
My aunt told me to sleep with a pillow under my legs to keep the pregnancy safe and now im doing it every night but not sure if it really helps. Im in early weeks and honestly just scared after one loss before. Is there any truth to this or just an old saying?
I totally understand why you'd hope something simple like this could help, the worry in early pregnancy is so heavy. But it cant stop a miscarriage, and please dont blame yourself for anything. Lean on your doctor for the real reassurance, and be gentle with yourself.
Sending you a hug, I know that anxiety so well. But sweetheart, sleeping with legs up doesnt prevent a miscarriage, I wish it were that simple. Whatever is causing your worry, please share it with your doctor, they can actually check and reassure you properly.
I understand the fear, I really do, but no leg position can stop a miscarriage, thats not how it works. If you're worried or have any bleeding or pain please call your gynac right away, dont wait. Elevating legs only helps with swelling, nothing more.
I know you just want to keep the baby safe, thats so natural. But this isnt something a sleeping position can control. Rest well, take your vitamins, go for your check ups, and call the doctor for any warning signs. Thats what truly looks after you both.
Raising your legs is good for reducing swelling and helping circulation, but it has no role in preventing miscarriage. If you have specific concerns, your gynac is the right person to guide you on what genuinely helps in your case.
