This might sound silly but we were intimate the night before and i tested in the morning and it came negative. Now im confused if the result got affected somehow. anyone know about this?

No, semen doesnt affect the result. The test only reads the hcg hormone in your urine. My doctor told me the test is about the hormone level, nothing about recent intercourse changes it.
