Can spicy food cause miscarriage in early pregnancy?
Im just 6 weeks and I ate quite spicy food yesterday, now im in full tension. My MIL said spicy is not good in starting. Got a bit scared, is this actually true? someone pls tell.
Please don't stress yourself with such fearful thoughts, everything will be fine. Spicy food only causes normal acidity and gas, not miscarriage, so stay relaxed. Keep your mind peaceful, eat simple and nourishing food, and take good care of yourself.
From my own experience, spicy food didn't cause any major issues, but it did give me terrible, burning acidity in the first trimester. I had to tone down the chilies just to survive the heartburn. It's always best to listen to your body and keep spices mild.
My grandmother used to say avoid too much spice as it generates heat, but my gynac assured me it doesn't cause miscarriage. Just eat mild spicy food if you crave it, but don't overdo it because acidity can make you very uncomfortable. Trust your doctor's advice and eat comfortably.
Beta, spicy food does not cause miscarriage, so don't have such scary thoughts in your mind. However, too much spice will cause severe burning in your chest and stomach. If you feel uneasy, drink a little cold milk or walk slowly after meals to settle the acidity.
It won't cause a miscarriage, but super spicy food can really mess up your digestion and trigger severe acid reflux. Since I had gestational diabetes, I had to be very strict with my overall diet anyway. Keeping things balanced and simple is always the safest bet for your gut.
