I was diagnosed with an enlarged spleen couple years back and now we are planning for a baby. Im a little worried whether it will create problems in conceiving or during pregnancy. Has anyone here been through this?
This is really something only your doctor can answer properly, coz splenomegaly has many causes. Pregnancy is often possible but it needs monitoring. Please sit with a gynac and a physician together before planning.
Many women with health conditions do conceive and carry well, but enlarged spleen depends on why it's enlarged. I'd honestly say dont rely on community guesses here, get a proper opinion from your specialist. That's the safest path.
I know how scary it feels when a condition makes you doubt if pregnancy is even possible, I felt that with my own struggles. Please dont lose hope, but do let your doctors guide this one, they'll plan it safely for you.
Depends entirely on the cause and how enlarged it is, honestly. Usually they want it evaluated before and watched during pregnancy. Get a preconception checkup done, your gynac will loop in the right specialist.
