Had a really stressful week at work and twice my nose started bleeding out of nowhere. Im in my second trimester. It scared me a little tbh, planning to mention it to my gynac but wanted to know if stress can actually do this.
I used to panic every time my nose bled and yes stress probably made me clench up more. But honestly it's a common pregnancy thing from the extra blood circulation. A humidifier and dabbing some vaseline inside helped me, though if it's frequent get it checked.
My gynac told me nosebleeds in pregnancy are usually from increased blood flow and the nasal lining getting dry and sensitive, not mainly stress. Stress can raise your BP which doesnt help, but the hormones are the bigger reason. If it happens a lot or is heavy, do mention it to her.
A little bleed now and then can be normal, but I'd be careful, sometimes it can link with high BP. Since you mentioned stress, do get your blood pressure checked at your visit. Better to confirm than assume.
Aw dont stress about the stress, haha. The dry weather and pregnancy hormones make noses bleed easy. Keep yourself calm and hydrated, and if it keeps happening just flag it to gynac.
