My recent reports showed slightly borderline thyroid, doc called it subclinical. Im 9 weeks pregnant and now stressing if it will harm the baby. Anyone went through this in their pregnancy?
From what my endocrinologist told me, subclinical hypothyroidism can affect pregnancy if left unchecked, which is why they monitor TSH closely. The good part is its very manageable when caught and treated. Definitely stay under a doctors care for it.
I dealt with hormonal issues too so i get the worry. Thyroid does need attention in pregnancy but its very treatable, so try not to panic. Just be regular with your blood tests and let the doctor guide the dose, that is the main thing.
Yes it can matter, even the mild kind. I had thyroid issues in pregnancy and my doctor kept a close eye with regular TSH tests and adjusted things as needed. Honestly once it was managed i had a smooth pregnancy, so just keep up your follow ups.
Please dont take this lightly or rely on a forum for it. Thyroid levels do affect pregnancy and need proper monitoring. Stick with your gynac and possibly an endocrinologist, they will adjust everything to keep you and baby safe.
Dont worry yourself sick over this. Many women have thyroid in pregnancy and do absolutely fine once its monitored and treated. The key is regular checkups, so just follow your doctor closely and you will be okay.
