I used to do surya namaskar regularly before getting pregnant. Now that I'm expecting, I'm not sure if it's safe to continue. Can I still do it, or should I stop?
Maine toh abhi last month hi deliver kiya hai, and trust me, body bilkul different react karti hai pregnancy mein. I avoided surya namaskar completely because back and belly stretches normal jaise nahi feel hote ab. Please don't risk it, light stretches are much safer.
Hey! Pregnancy yoga is great but full surya namaskar is thoda risky for the baby bump! 🧘♀️ Better to shift to cute, easy breathing exercises and soft walks. Stay happy and keep glowing! ✨
Actually, yoga achha hai par bina doctor se pooche mat karna, especially agar thyroid ya koi health issues ho. Mujhe thyroid tha toh gynac ne har month blood test and monitoring ke baad hi exercise allowed kiya tha. Apne body ko stress mat do aur doctor follow-up regular rakho.
Honestly, jab mujhe morning sickness itni severe thi, mujhse toh hilne ki bhi energy nahi bachti thi. Gym aur yoga toh bohot door ki baat hai. Please force mat karo khud ko, normal deep breathing or gentle walks are more than enough.
Mere ghar pe toh meri saas ne saaf mana kar diya tha ki aage jhukne wale aasan bilkul mat karna. Safe side rehne ke liye unki baat maan li aur sirf normal walk karti thi balcony mein. Ghar ke bade hamesha humare bhale ke liye hi rokte hain, toh safe rehna better hai.
Since I had a miscarriage before my current pregnancy, I was extremely cautious about everything. I completely avoided surya namaskar because any extreme physical stress or stretching felt risky to me. Please take it very easy, your body is carrying a precious miracle.
Main koi medical expert toh nahi hoon, par main apna batati hoon ki maine surya namaskar completely stop kar diya tha. Balance khona ka darr rehta hai aur pregnancy mein soft joint ligaments stretch ho jaate hain. Bas normal walking hi choose ki thi maine.
Humare yahan toh seedhe saadha bolte hain ki pregnancy mein heavy bending nahi karni chahiye. Surya namaskar mein thoda zyada stretch hota hai, toh please jaldbazi mat karna. Apne ghar pe aaram se thoda walk kar lo, wahi sabse achha hai.
Research shows that first trimester and late third trimester mein deep twists and belly-down poses strictly avoid karne chahiye. My doctor specifically told me that surya namaskar has steps where you lie on your stomach or stretch too deep, which can put pressure on the placenta. Better to do modified prenatal yoga under expert supervision.
When I asked my clinical coordinator at Fortis about this, she strictly advised against doing standard yoga routines like surya namaskar. They suggested putting me in touch with their in-house prenatal physiotherapist who gave me customized exercises. Definitely check with your hospital's wellness team first.
Mere experience se bataun toh full surya namaskar pregnancy mein safe nahi hota kyunki stomach pe weight padta hai. Posture change karna padta hai aur balance ka bhi darr rehta hai. Isse achha soft prenatal yoga classes try karo jo specifically pregnant moms ke liye hote hain.
