Doc put me on susten and im a bit confused now. tested at home and it showed positive but im not sure if the meds are messing with it. anyone been through this?
Actually, progesterone like Susten cannot trigger a false positive because pregnancy kits only detect hCG hormone. The only way it could be a false positive is if you also had an hCG trigger shot within the last 10-14 days. My gynac explained this clearly during my treatment.
When I was taking Susten, I also wondered about this. Personally, my test turned out to be a true positive, but I didn't want to assume anything so I just called my doctor's clinic to confirm.
With PCOS, we always overthink these things and doubt every positive line. Susten won't cause a false positive, but since you are on progesterone support, please get a blood test done to check if hCG levels are doubling nicely.
Nahi re, Susten is progesterone na, toh usse test positive nahi hota. Test positive tabhi hota hai jab pregnancy ho, ho na? Ek baar doc se verify kar lo check-up ke liye.
No dear, Susten is progesterone, so it won't affect your urine test! Pregnancy tests only check for hCG, so if it's positive, congratulations! 🎉 Crossing my fingers for you!
I was on Susten 200 during my first trimester and had the same doubt. My test was positive and it was absolutely real, my little one is now 3 months old! Susten just supports the lining, it doesn't create fake hCG.
Susten doesn't cause a false positive, so that line is likely real! Still, instead of wasting money on multiple expensive home kits, just wait a day or two and go for a beta hCG blood test at a local lab. It's much more accurate and saves you from buying too many plastic kits.
