Can swelling cause pain during pregnancy?

My feet and ankles have started swelling a lot in the evenings and now they actually ache too. Im 7 months. Is the pain just from the swelling itself or is it something else? Planning to mention it at my checkup.

Mild swelling in feet by evening is common but if one leg is much more swollen, or there is sudden swelling in face and hands with headache, please call your gynac. I had high BP and they kept a close watch on my swelling.

Sitting at desk all day made my feet swell and pain. I kept a small stool under my table to rest legs, small thing but worked.

My mother always made me soak my feet in warm water in the evenings and it eased the pain. But she also said tell the doctor at every visit, which I did.

Yes swollen feet can ache by end of day, especially third trimester. Keep your legs up, drink water and dont stand too long, it really helps.
