Haan, bilkul hota hai aisa! Mujhe toh doodh ki smell se hi vomiting aane lagti thi. Ghabrao mat, dahi khao ya thoda paneer le lo, doodh peena zaroori nahi hai agar dil nahi kar raha toh.
I also couldn't stand the smell of warm milk during my early months. My mother used to make cold milkshakes or give me fresh buttermilk instead so I didn't lose out on nutrition. Try having curd or paneer, they are very gentle on the stomach.
It's totally okay if you can't digest milk right now, many moms face aversion. You can get your calcium from paneer, curd, or ragi ruti instead. I did the same and had a great milk supply later while breastfeeding.
Don't force yourself to drink milk if it makes you throw up. After my C-section, my digestion was very slow and dairy sometimes caused gas, so I took calcium tablets prescribed by my doctor. You can easily find other calcium sources.
It's perfectly fine to skip milk if you have an aversion or lactose intolerance. You can easily substitute it with almond milk, tofu, or dark leafy greens. Just mention it to your doctor so they can adjust your calcium supplements accordingly.
