My MIL keeps telling me not to drink too much water during pregnancy, says it causes problems. Honestly this doesnt make sense to me but im now doubting myself. Is there any truth to this ya just old talk?
I completely understand this phase, I also couldn't stand the taste of plain water in my first trimester. Try adding a squeeze of lemon or drinking coconut water instead. It gets much better in the second trimester, so hang in there!
Water turned into my worst enemy during my early weeks, like why does it taste so bad suddenly?! I had to trick my brain by drinking it out of a fancy bottle with lots of ice. Give it a try, it might help you too!
Haha, I remember water tasting like actual rust when I was pregnant! I basically lived on popsicles and cucumber slices to stay hydrated. Do what you gotta do to survive, just don't dry up!
Look, dehydration is dangerous during pregnancy, so you have to find a way. If plain water tastes metallic, switch to cold water, lemonade, or fresh juices. If you are vomiting everything up and can't keep even a sip down, go see your doctor immediately.
Please stay positive, your body is going through so many changes. If plain water makes you feel sick, try to pray and take small sips of buttermilk or infused water. Keep yourself hydrated, it's very important for you and the baby.
Oh god, I had the exact same issue in my first trimester, the smell of water literally made me puke! I survived on cold jaljeera and electrolyte water. Did anyone else struggle with this for the entire pregnancy?
My pregnancy app constantly reminded me to drink 3 liters of water, but I just couldn't do it because of nausea. I tracked other liquids like coconut water and clear soups instead. If you can't keep any liquids down at all, please consult your doctor.
