Home kit showed a very faint line and im not fully convinced. Thinking whether i should just go for a blood test instead to confirm properly. Is that more accurate na?

In my IVF journey the beta hcg blood test was everything, we waited for that number so anxiously. It is very accurate. Whatever you do, take it one step at a time and be gentle with yourself.
My doctor said blood test can actually detect pregnancy earlier than the urine kit because it picks up lower hcg levels. She told me it can show even a few days before missed period. So it is more sensitive than the home test.
I was too shy to ask my doctor this, so thank you for posting. So we can directly go for blood test or kit first is better? Still learning all this honestly.
Yes, the beta hcg blood test is the most reliable way to confirm. I did it both times after the home kit. It also tells the level so doctor knows roughly how far along you are.
Blood test costs a bit more than the kit, around 300 to 500 depending on the lab. I usually do the kit first and only go for blood test if needed. No need to rush to the lab straight away.
Both kit and blood test work, but blood test gives a clearer confirmation with the actual hcg value. Honestly best is to do the kit and then let your gynac decide if blood test is needed. Follow what she advises.
