Can taking tylenol during pregnancy cause birth defects?

I took Tylenol once for fever before I realised I was pregnant. Now I am overthinking whether it can affect the baby. I will mention it to doctor, but has anyone had this worry?

I took paracetamol both pregnancies when I had fever, on doctor's okay, and my kids are perfectly fine. Just dont pop it daily on your own. Always run it by your gynac, especially how much and how often.

My doctor said paracetamol (that's basically what tylenol is) is one of the safer pain/fever options in pregnancy when needed, in the right dose. She did say dont take it casually for everything though. Best to confirm dose and reason with your own doctor.
