My gynac mentioned a TT injection at my last visit but I forgot to ask much about it. First pregnancy so everything is new to me. Just wanted to know from others when did u get it and is it given to everyone?
Yes its actually a normal part of pregnancy care. I got my TT shots both times, usually two doses few weeks apart. Your gynac will schedule it dont worry.
My doctor explained the TT injection protects both mom and baby from tetanus, especially around delivery. She gave me the first dose and a booster later. Its a standard vaccine in pregnancy, very safe, she was clear about that.
Yes it can and it is recommended. The timing depends on whether you had it before, so let your doctor decide the schedule. Mine noted it in my card from the start.
Yep, very routine. I just planned my appointments so both doses fit between work, they are spaced out. Ask your gynac to mark the dates so you dont miss the second one.
I was scared of the injection honestly but it was just a small prick. I felt fine after, maybe slight soreness in the arm for a day. Totally normal part of the checkups.
